Description

We stock the Dip as a recessed LED downlight for general ceiling lighting, this one in black at 103mm. It has an integrated warm white LED rated at 15W, giving 1480 lumens at 2700K through a black aluminium trim ring, and its 90 CRI rating renders colours more accurately than a standard 80 CRI LED.

Once installed the fitting sits flush with the ceiling, so only the trim ring and central lens show from below. The 50 degree beam gives a mid-width spread that suits general lighting in rooms of around 12 to 15 square metres, and the black ring pairs well with dark ceilings, black joinery and industrial rooms. The IP20 rating keeps it to dry indoor spaces, away from outdoor soffits.

The body is aluminium, which acts as a passive heat sink and moves the LED heat up into the ceiling void without a fan. It is non-dimmable and runs straight off 220 to 240V mains at 50Hz, so it wires in without a separate driver box. Allow enough void depth above the plasterboard for the driver and heat sink, roughly 100mm, before you cut the aperture.
