Description

We stock the Dip as a 10W LED recessed downlight in white for general ceiling lighting. An integrated LED module gives 1150 lumens of warm white light at 3000K through a 50 degree beam, and the white aluminium trim ring sits level with the ceiling around a perforated outer detail, so the fitting reads as a neat circle once it is in.

The 92mm trim and 50 degree beam suit living rooms, bedrooms, hallways and similar interiors, giving a medium spread that works well at typical 2.4 to 2.7m ceiling heights without harsh hotspots on the floor. With a 90 CRI rating it renders colours accurately, so furnishings and finishes look true, which helps in spaces where you want them shown at their best.

The Dip is rated IP20 for dry indoor locations, so we would keep it out of bathroom zones, splashback areas and anywhere outdoors. It runs on standard 220 to 240V mains and the driver is not dimmable, holding a steady output. The finned heat sink above the ceiling line draws heat away from the light engine, and the aluminium body carries an energy rating of G.

The trim measures 92mm across, so plan your cut-out to suit a 92mm recessed downlight and leave room above the ceiling for the finned heat sink to sit and dissipate heat.

Is it dimmable?

No. The Dip runs on a non-dimmable driver at a fixed 10W output, giving a steady 1150 lumens of warm 3000K light rather than a variable level.

Can I fit it in a bathroom?

We would not. It is rated IP20 for dry indoor spaces such as living rooms, bedrooms and hallways, so it is not suitable for bathroom zones, kitchen splashback areas or outdoor use.

Do I need a separate bulb?
