Description

We stock the Dip as a 10W LED recessed downlight for calm, even ambient light. It sits in a black aluminium body with a deep-set baffle, and the integrated LED gives 1060 lumens of warm white (3000K) through a wide 50 degree beam. The recessed format drops into the ceiling so only the trim ring shows once it is fitted, keeping the look neat overhead.

The 50 degree beam suits general room lighting rather than tight spotlighting, spreading a soft pool of light across a living room, bedroom, hallway or office. With a 90 CRI rating colours read accurately under it, which helps in kitchens, dressing areas and anywhere colour fidelity matters. The IP20 rating means it is made for dry indoor spaces, so keep it away from bathrooms and wet rooms.

This is the 92mm version, so you will need a matching ceiling cut-out and a void of roughly 90 to 100mm to take the driver and heat sink. The aluminium body doubles as the heat sink and dissipates the 10W load without any active cooling. It runs on standard 220-240V mains and is not dimmable, giving a steady, fixed brightness whenever it is switched on.

Frequently Asked

What size cut-out does it need?

This is the 92mm version, so cut a matching hole in the ceiling and allow a void of roughly 90 to 100mm behind it for the driver and heat sink.

Is it dimmable?

No. The Dip runs at a fixed brightness on standard 220-240V mains, so it is not compatible with a dimmer switch.

Can I fit it in a bathroom?

No. It carries an IP20 rating, which means it is for dry indoor spaces only. We would keep it out of bathrooms, shower rooms and other wet areas.

What light does it give?

The integrated LED puts out 1060 lumens of warm white light at 3000K through a wide 50 degree beam, and the 90 CRI rating keeps colours looking true.
