Description

We stock the Dip as a compact recessed downlight for ceilings where you want tidy, even light with nothing standing proud of the surface. This 66mm version carries an integrated 10W LED giving 1170 lumens of warm white (3000K) light, set behind a white aluminium bezel so the fitting sits quietly against a white ceiling.

We reach for it as general ambient lighting in halls, landings and living rooms, and it works just as well in kitchens and over worktops where its 90 CRI rating helps colours read accurately. The 50 degree beam spreads the light gently rather than punching a hot spot onto the floor below, so a row of them gives a soft, consistent wash across a room.

The Dip runs on standard UK mains (220-240V AC 50Hz) and is not dimmable, so it stays at full output whenever it is switched on. It is rated IP20 for dry interior positions, and the LED is built in, which means there is no separate lamp to buy or replace. Full dimensions and cut-out details are on the datasheet linked on this page.

Frequently Asked

Is this downlight dimmable?

No. The integrated 10W LED is not dimmable, so it runs at full 1170 lumen output whenever it is switched on.

Which rooms can I fit it in?

It is rated IP20 for dry interior ceilings, so halls, landings, living rooms, bedrooms and kitchens are all fine. We would not use it inside a shower zone or anywhere exposed to direct water.

Do I need to buy a separate bulb or driver?

No. The LED and driver are built in, so there is no lamp to buy or swap later. It wires straight to standard 220-240V UK mains.

What sort of light does it give?

A warm white 3000K tone at 1170 lumens, spread through a 50 degree beam. With a 90 CRI rating it renders colours more accurately than a standard 80 CRI fitting, which helps in kitchens and anywhere colour matters.
