Description
We stock the Dip as a compact recessed LED downlight in white, sized for a 66mm ceiling cutout. It has a 10W integrated LED behind a white aluminium trim ring, giving 1130 lumens of warm white light at 2700K through a 50 degree beam. The LED renders colour at CRI90, so furniture finishes, fabrics and wall colours read more truly than they would under a standard CRI80 fitting.
We think of the Dip as an everyday ceiling light for living rooms, bedrooms, hallways and retail spaces. The 50 degree beam sits between a narrow spot and a wide flood, so it works for general ceiling layouts and for picking out a worktop or a piece of artwork. Its 2700K colour gives a warm glow close to traditional halogen, which keeps the light comfortable rather than clinical in a home setting. At IP20 it is made for dry interiors where moisture exposure is minimal.
The Dip runs straight off 220-240V AC mains, so there is no separate LED driver to wire in. The aluminium body doubles as the heat sink to draw operating heat away from the LED, and spring clips hold it in the ceiling for a tool-free fix. Please note the integrated LED is not dimmable, and the light is fixed at 2700K warm white.

Frequently Asked
What size cutout does it need?
It fits a 66mm ceiling cutout. We list larger versions of the Dip at 76mm, 92mm and 103mm if you need a wider hole to suit your ceiling.
Is it dimmable?
No. The integrated LED is not dimmable, so it runs at a fixed brightness of 1130 lumens. If you want dimming, we would point you to one of our dimmable downlights instead.
Do I need a separate LED driver?
No. It connects directly to 220-240V AC mains with no external driver, and spring clips hold it in place for a tool-free fit.
Which rooms suit this downlight?
It is rated IP20 for dry interiors, so it suits living rooms, bedrooms, hallways and retail spaces. We would not use it in a shower zone or anywhere it may be exposed to moisture.
