Dip is an arc floor lamp made for outdoors as well as in, with a thin curved arm that sweeps up from a flat round base and carries a disc-shaped head out over the space it lights. It stands 196cm tall and reaches 188cm, with a head 25cm across and a base 49cm across. The light comes from an integrated 18W LED giving 1931 lumens, so there is no bulb to buy or change, and with a CRI of 90 colours and skin tones look natural under it. We offer it in a 2700K or a 3000K version: 2700K gives a warmer light, 3000K a slightly crisper white. The finish is Textured Olive Green.

Rated IP65, it suits outdoor use: it can stand on a patio or terrace, beside garden seating or reaching over an outdoor dining table, and it is just as much at home in the living room, arching over a sofa or a reading chair. The long reach puts the light where you sit while the base stays out of the way to one side. It plugs in and runs at 230V, and it dims by push, so a press sets the brightness, brighter for dinner and softer for later in the evening.

From the base to the head, the whole lamp carries the Textured Olive Green finish, a muted green that sits quietly against planting, stone paving or timber decking, and among the furniture of a living room. It is a Class II fitting, and because it plugs in there is no wiring in and no electrician to book: set it where you want it and it is ready. Before you choose its spot, give it room. The 49cm base wants a flat, level surface, and the arm needs clear space around it to reach its full 188cm. It has a plug on its cable, and we include a UK adaptor in the box, so it is ready for a UK socket. Outdoors, the plug and the adaptor must sit in a covered, weatherproof outdoor socket.
