Diamond 9 Light Crystal Pendant - Polished Chrome

The Diamond is a 540mm-square crystal pendant light with nine G9 bulb fittings housed within a drum-shaped shade built from rows of square-cut clear crystals on a polished chrome metal frame. An opal glass diffuser sits at the base of the crystal shade, softening the light output and reducing direct glare from the bulbs. The pendant hangs on adjustable steel tension cables from a polished chrome ceiling canopy.

Designed for dining rooms, entrance halls and living rooms with ceiling heights above 2.6m, the Diamond provides both ambient and decorative light. The drop can be adjusted between 500mm and 1400mm on installation, allowing the pendant to suit different ceiling heights and room proportions. For a typical dining table the pendant typically hangs 700-850mm above the table surface. The 54cm diameter suits tables and islands between 1.2-1.8m in length.

The square-cut crystals catch and refract light from the nine bulbs, casting reflections across walls and ceilings when the fitting is lit. Each bulb takes up to 10W on a G9 bi-pin base (bulbs sold separately), giving flexibility to choose LED or halogen depending on the colour temperature and brightness needed. The polished chrome frame provides a high-reflectivity finish that pairs with both contemporary and traditional interiors. The combined crystal and metal construction gives the pendant an 8kg weight, requiring secure fixing to a ceiling joist or appropriate fixings rated for the load.

What bulbs does the Diamond take?

The pendant takes nine G9 bi-pin bulbs, each rated up to 10W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users choose LED G9 bulbs between 2W-5W in warm white (2700K-3000K) for dining and living spaces, though halogen is also compatible if higher output or instant full brightness is needed.

What drop height works for a dining table?

The pendant drop is adjustable between 500mm and 1400mm from the ceiling. For a dining table the pendant typically sits 700-850mm above the table surface, which suits ceiling heights of 2.4-2.7m. Higher ceilings can use the full 1400mm drop to maintain proportion.

How is the height adjusted?

The pendant hangs on steel tension cables that pass through the ceiling canopy. During installation the cables can be shortened to the required drop length by adjusting the grips inside the canopy. This is done before fixing the canopy to the ceiling and should be carried out by a qualified electrician.

Can the crystals be cleaned?

Yes. Switch off the power and allow the bulbs to cool. Wipe each crystal with a dry microfibre cloth. For more thorough cleaning, a barely-damp cloth with distilled water can be used, but avoid soaking the crystals or using household sprays which can leave residue and dull the clarity.
