Description

Twelve 3cm baubles blown from recycled glass and finished in antique gold, the surface mottled so that it takes the light unevenly rather than as a mirror. Round, fluted, onion and teardrop shapes are mixed through the set. A metal clasp at the top of each carries a knotted length of sari silk.

Hung from a single branch, the mottling reads as broken highlights rather than one flat reflection. Twelve at 3cm will dress a wreath or a garland as readily as a tree. The ties supply the only other colour in the set.

The glass is recycled and the ties are cotton sari silk, each cut from a different length, so the colours vary from set to set. Twelve are supplied. The same bauble is made in silver and in mixed colours.
