Description

The Deva Big is a spotlight head in a short cylinder that clips onto the brand's low-voltage magnetic track and tilts to aim its beam. Where the standard spot is a small squared body, this one is a round drum roughly the size of a large bottle cap, giving a slightly wider and softer pool of light at 38 degrees. Everything is matt black, so the head sits quietly against a dark rail and reads as a neat round eye when off.

The built-in LED puts out 520 lumens at 4000K, a clean neutral white with a colour rendering index above 90 that keeps wood, fabric and paint looking honest. Its beam is broad enough to light a wider object or a group on a shelf yet still contained, so a line of these heads can each hold their own target along a run over a counter, a display or a run of pictures.

The drum measures 60mm across and 55mm tall, and holds magnetically onto the 24V Deva rail, which feeds it so there is no cabling at the fitting. We supply the head alone to add to a Deva track already in place; the LED is fixed and rated for around 30,000 hours, so nothing needs fitting or swapping later. It runs on and off with the track rather than a dimmer, and carries an IP20 rating for dry indoor use.
