Description

The Knightsbridge Dee is a twin-head surface-mounted spotlight fitting with two independently adjustable GU10 lamp holders housed in cylindrical matt black aluminium bodies. Each head rotates on a ball joint, allowing the light direction to be aimed at different surfaces or objects once the fitting is installed. The lamp holders accept standard GU10 bulbs up to 10W each, sold separately.

Designed for directional accent lighting in residential and commercial interiors, the Dee suits track-free ceiling installations where multiple light directions are needed from a single mounting point. Common applications include gallery walls, kitchen worktop task lighting, retail display highlighting, and home office desk illumination where overhead general lighting alone is insufficient. The twin-head configuration gives two separately aimable beams from a single ceiling fixing point, reducing the number of individual fittings needed.

The fitting measures 60mm diameter per cylindrical head with an 88mm projection from the ceiling once installed. The matt black aluminium finish provides a low-glare surface that blends into dark ceilings or provides a defined accent against lighter surfaces. Rear cable entry keeps wiring concealed within the ceiling void, and the included tool-free cable connector simplifies installation. The IP20 rating restricts use to dry indoor locations only.

What bulbs does it take?

The Dee twin spotlight takes two GU10 bulbs up to 10W each. Bulbs are sold separately. Knightsbridge offers GU10 LED bulbs in dimmable and non-dimmable variants, with colour temperatures from 2700K warm white to 6500K cool white.

Can the light direction be adjusted after installation?

Yes. Both heads rotate independently on ball joints, allowing each beam to be aimed at different surfaces or objects. This adjustment can be done by hand after the fitting is powered and installed.

Is it dimmable?

Dimming depends on the GU10 bulb used. The fitting itself supports dimming when paired with dimmable GU10 LEDs and a compatible dimmer switch. Non-dimmable GU10 bulbs will not dim regardless of the dimmer installed.

Can it be used in bathrooms or outdoors?

No. The IP20 rating restricts the Dee to dry indoor locations only. It is not rated for use in bathrooms, wet rooms, or any outdoor installation where moisture or rain may be present.
