Description

The Dee is a single-head GU10 spotlight with a 60mm diameter cylindrical aluminium body finished in matt black, mounted on a surface-mount base with a single adjustable head. The head rotates and tilts on a friction joint, allowing the beam to be directed to accent artwork, architectural features, or task surfaces without re-wiring.

Designed for residential and commercial interiors where directed accent lighting is needed without recessing into the ceiling, the Dee surface-mounts to standard ceilings, walls, or bulkheads using a rear cable entry and tool-free connector. The 88mm projection from the ceiling gives clearance to aim the head without obstruction, while the compact 60mm body footprint keeps the fitting visually discreet. The IP20 rating limits use to dry interior spaces.

The matt black aluminium construction provides a low-reflectivity finish that pairs with industrial, contemporary and minimalist interiors without competing for visual attention. The fitting accepts any standard GU10 bulb up to 10W (sold separately), giving flexibility to choose LED colour temperature, beam angle, and dimmer compatibility to suit the application. Knightsbridge produces this design in matt white and brushed chrome finishes as well, available separately.

What bulb does the Dee take?

The Dee takes a standard GU10 bulb up to 10W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a warm-white LED GU10 between 5-7W and 2700K-3000K for accent lighting, or a cool-white 4000K for task lighting in kitchens and offices.

Is the spotlight head adjustable?

Yes. The cylindrical head rotates and tilts on a friction joint, allowing you to direct the beam onto walls, artwork, or worktops after installation. The joint holds position once aimed.

Can it be dimmed?

Dimmer compatibility depends on the GU10 bulb you fit. If you use a dimmable GU10 LED, the Dee will dim when paired with a compatible LED dimmer switch. Non-dimmable GU10 bulbs will not dim and may flicker or fail if used with a dimmer.

What's the IP rating and where can it be used?

The Dee is rated IP20, which means it is suitable for dry interior spaces only. It is not rated for bathrooms, outdoor use, or damp environments.
