Deco Outdoor Wall Lantern - Green

The Deco is a half-lantern outdoor wall light cast in solid aluminium with a deep green powder-coated finish and clear polycarbonate glazing panels. The lantern measures 325mm high by 193mm wide, with a 110mm projection from the wall, and houses a single E27 bulb (sold separately) behind IP44-rated weatherproof construction. A mirrored aluminium backplate inside the lantern reflects light forward and to the sides, increasing visible brightness from the single bulb.

Designed for front doors, porch areas, garden paths and garage entrances, the Deco suits both traditional and contemporary UK exteriors where colour is welcomed. The green finish reads as a rich forest green in daylight and takes on a darker, near-black tone at night when the light is off. When lit, the clear polycarbonate panels allow full light output without colour distortion, unlike tinted or frosted glass.

The cast aluminium construction handles UK coastal salt air, rain and freeze-thaw cycles without rusting or corroding. What bulb should I use with this?

The lantern takes a standard E27 bulb up to 60W. Most users pair it with a warm-white LED filament bulb between 6-10W (equivalent to 40-60W incandescent) and 2700K colour temperature for outdoor ambiance. Clear or amber-tinted filament bulbs show through the clear polycarbonate panels.

Can this be used in fully exposed positions?

The IP44 rating protects against rain splashes from any direction, making the lantern suitable for positions under eaves, porches and against sheltered walls. Fully exposed positions facing prevailing wind-driven rain may shorten bulb life and benefit from additional overhang protection.

How is the green finish maintained?
