Description

A garland 120cm long and 3cm across, built on a fine iron wire strung with small clear glass beads clustered along its length. The wire is finished in brass and breaks into short side stems, so the beads sit at different depths rather than in one line. There is a loop worked into each end. It weighs 0.26kg.

One hundred and twenty centimetres is a mantel, a shelf edge, or a short run of stair rail. It drapes along the front edge of a mantel in a shallow swag with the ends fixed at the corners. At 0.26kg the loops take a pin or a small hook and nothing heavier is needed.

The wire is iron under a brass finish and the beads are recycled glass, applied one at a time by hand. The Danvi range also holds a wreath and a set of three drop baubles in the same glass.
