Description

The Danona T is a table lamp with a drum shade on a slim stem and a round, flat disc base. It stands 55cm tall, with a 27cm shade and a 23cm base, so it sits comfortably on a bedside table or a sideboard without crowding it. It comes in two finishes, Satin Nickel or Satin Nickel - Dark Leather, the second wrapping part of the stem in dark leather, and with a choice of three shades: Cream Translucent Ribbon, White Translucent Ribbon or Cotton. With either translucent ribbon shade, the light comes softly through every pleat, and the stem rises clear through the top of the drum.

We see it most at home in a bedroom or a living room. A pair either side of a bed gives each sleeper a reading light at a sensible height, and one on a side table beside a sofa or armchair puts gentle light at seat level, where you want it for an evening with a book. On a console or a deep shelf it brings a soft pool of light to a quiet corner of the room. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only.

The lamp is made of iron and leather, the leather coming with the Satin Nickel - Dark Leather finish, and it runs on mains power at 230V. It has a 150cm cable, and the switch sits 30cm along it from the lamp, close at hand without reaching under the shade. It takes one E27 bulb of up to 6W, which is sold separately and not included; the bulb is what gives the light, so you can choose its brightness and tone to suit the room.
