Description

The Danona Mini is a table lamp from our Danona range: a drum shade set on a slim stem above a round disc base. It stands 44cm tall, with a shade 23cm across and a base 16cm across, a compact size that sits comfortably on a bedside table or a narrow console. It comes in two finishes, Satin Nickel or Satin Nickel - Dark Leather, and three shades, Cream Translucent Ribbon, White Translucent Ribbon or Cotton. The translucent ribbon shades let a soft, even glow through their sides, so the lamp lights the space around it rather than only the surface beneath it.

It suits a bedroom, where a lamp of this size gives gentle light for reading at the bedside without crowding the table, and a living room, where it brings soft, low light to a side table, a shelf or a sideboard beside a sofa or an armchair. Its small base means it also fits on a desk or a dressing table where a larger lamp would not. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only. It needs one E27 bulb of up to 6W, which is sold separately and is the lamp's light source, so have one ready when you set it up.

The frame is iron, and in the Satin Nickel - Dark Leather finish a sleeve of dark leather wraps part of the stem, a warm, tactile contrast to the satin metal around it. The lamp plugs in, with cable lengths of 30cm and 150cm, and runs at 230V, so it is ready to use wherever there is a socket close by. Because it takes a standard E27 bulb, you can pick the colour of light that suits the room, from a warm white for a bedroom to a slightly cooler white for a reading corner, and changing it later is a simple job.
