Our Cosmo doormat is a half-moon of thick braided coir in a warm beige. Its straight back edge sits against the threshold and its fringed curve faces the path. It is made from 100% coir, the coarse fibre that comes from the husk of the coconut, and the strands are twisted and braided into chunky rows you can feel underfoot. It measures 120cm long, 40cm wide and 3.5cm thick, and at 2.8KG it is a substantial mat with real depth rather than a thin, flat one.
