Description

The five light Corriford pendant widens the multi arm idea to 690mm across, with five tapered metal shades on arms radiating from a central stem in bright nickel. Overall height adjusts between 690mm and 2030mm, a far longer range than the three light version, so it can hang low over a table or high in a stairwell. Five E14 lamps rated up to 6W each in LED give it the output to light a dining room on its own, and the whole fitting dims with dimmable lamps and a compatible dimmer switch. At 3kg the ceiling mounting point is worth checking first.

Five arms cover more table. This one suits a dining table around 1.2m or wider, a long kitchen island, or a hallway where one fitting has to do all the work. The long adjustable drop opens up stairwells and double height spaces that the smaller version cannot reach. Each shade throws light downwards, so the pools overlap into even coverage across a table rather than a single bright centre. Bright nickel is cool and reflective, at home with chrome, stainless steel and glass, and it holds a crisp edge against white, pale grey or a darker painted ceiling.

Stem, arms and shades are metal in a bright nickel finish. A reflective finish shows fingerprints, so dust with a dry soft cloth and lift marks with a barely damp cloth, drying immediately; metal polish, abrasive pads and solvent cleaners should be avoided. Set the drop before final fixing so the arms sit level. It is a Class 1 fitting, needing an earthed supply and a qualified electrician, and the IP20 rating keeps it to dry indoor rooms. The Corriford range also includes a three light version and the same two sizes in satin brass.
