Description

The Corriford pendant in satin brass carries three tapered metal shades on arms that sweep out from a central stem. It spans 550mm with an overall height adjustable from 455mm to 660mm, keeping the drop short enough for a standard ceiling. Satin brass is the warmer finish in this range, with a soft sheen rather than a polished shine, so it stays understated and hides marks better than a mirror finish would. Three E14 lamps rated up to 6W each in LED throw light down through the open shades, and the fitting dims with dimmable lamps and a compatible dimmer switch. It weighs 1.7kg.

Three separate pools of light suit a round dining table, a breakfast bar or a kitchen where you want the light on the work surface rather than bouncing off the ceiling. The compact drop also makes this a usable ceiling light in a hallway, a landing or a bedroom with normal head height. Satin brass works with warm palettes: oak, walnut, cream, stone and the deeper greens and blues that have taken over kitchens. It also pairs with brass handles and taps without having to match them exactly, since the satin surface reads softer than polished hardware.

The stem, arms and tapered shades are all metal in a satin brass finish. Dust with a dry soft cloth and lift marks with a barely damp one, drying immediately; metal polish, abrasive pads and solvent cleaners will dull a satin surface, so keep them well away. As a Class 1 fitting it needs an earthed supply and should be wired in by a qualified electrician, and the IP20 rating limits it to dry indoor rooms. A five light Corriford pendant is available for wider tables, and both sizes also come in bright nickel.
