Description

The Cornet B/77 is an LED bollard light for the garden, with a slim flared stem that opens into a tiered head of wavy layers. Light from the integrated LED glows out between those layers, so there is no bulb to buy or change. It runs at 8W and gives 39 lumens of warm 2700K light with a CRI of 90, which makes it a soft marker light for edging a path rather than a floodlight. It stands 77cm tall and 25.6cm wide, on a base 9.2cm across, in a Stone Grey finish.

Rated IP66, it is made for outdoor use and stands up to rain in an open garden. We like a line of them along a garden path, beside a front step or around the edge of a lawn, where the warm glow marks the way after dark without glare. Space a few along a long border and they read as a gentle row of light rather than one bright spot. It is TRIAC dimmable, so on a compatible dimmer you can turn the light down for a quieter evening outside.

The body is polyurethane, with 316 stainless steel and aluminium in its construction, and the Stone Grey finish is a soft, quiet colour that sits comfortably among planting, gravel and paving. The design is by Alex Fernández Camps, who gave the head its layered, wave-edged form. It is a Class I fitting running on 230V mains, and it is wired in to the mains by a qualified electrician, so it is worth settling where each bollard will stand before any paths or beds are finished.
