Description

Cornelie is a tall table lamp built on an enamelled aluminium base in deep blue, finished with a drum shade in woven linen. The base tapers gently from a wide foot to a narrower top, and its outline is shaped in soft rounded lobes that run its full height, so the glossy enamel picks up light along every curve. A slim stem rises from the base to hold the shade. The lamp stands 61cm tall and 30cm across, a size that suits a sideboard, a console or a generous bedside table without crowding it.

At that height the shade sits at a comfortable level beside a sofa or armchair, so it works as a reading lamp in a living room as well as a soft evening light on a hallway console or a study desk. Linen softens the light from a bulb and spreads it gently, and the woven texture of the shade glows when the lamp is lit.
