Description

The Cooper is an adjustable outdoor wall light with a 20W integrated LED housed in a matt black angled head that tilts on a wall-mounted arm. The LED produces 1700 lumens at 3000K warm white with a 120° beam angle, providing wash light across facades, pathways and entrance areas. The head can be angled during installation to direct light where needed rather than straight down or straight out.

IP54-rated against dust and rain spray, the Cooper suits UK exterior installation on house walls, garden walls, garage sides and porch areas. The 212mm projection from the wall puts the light source forward of the mounting surface, reducing harsh shadows directly below the fitting. The 167mm width and 100mm height give a compact profile that works on narrower wall sections between windows or alongside doors without dominating the facade.

The matt black powder-coated aluminium finish resists corrosion and UV degradation across seasons. The fitting weighs 1.25kg once mounted, requiring a secure fixing into masonry or timber framing rather than plasterboard alone. The integrated LED is non-replaceable but rated for 25,000+ hours of operation, equivalent to approximately 10 years of typical evening use. Wiring connects to standard 230V mains via a cable gland at the rear of the mounting bracket.

Can the light head be adjusted after installation?

The head angle is set during installation by loosening the joint, positioning the head, and re-tightening. Once tightened, it holds that angle. The design does not allow for easy repositioning once the fitting is fully installed and wired.

What does IP54 mean for outdoor use?

IP54 means the fitting is protected against dust ingress and against water spray from any direction. It is suitable for exterior walls under eaves, on open facades, and in areas exposed to rain, but not for direct burial, submersion, or high-pressure jet washing.

Is the LED replaceable?

No. The LED is integrated into the fitting and cannot be replaced. The LED is rated for approximately 25,000 hours of operation, which is roughly 10 years of typical evening use at 6-7 hours per night.

What wall fixing is required?

The Cooper weighs 1.25kg and projects 212mm from the wall, so it requires fixing into solid masonry, brick or timber framing using appropriate wall plugs and screws. Plasterboard or hollow wall fixings are not suitable without additional structural support behind the mounting point.
