Conneli is a candle holder that doubles as a figure: a tall, bottle-shaped body in dolomite ceramic, painted by hand in a multicoloured scheme of bold vertical stripes, rounded raised bumps across the sides and a band around the foot, topped by a head with its own painted face and bobbed hair. The head lifts from the neck. With it in place, the piece stands as a small character; with it removed, the open neck takes a slim candle, and the head can stand beside the body as part of the display. It is 23.5cm tall and 14cm across, and weighs 0.75KG.

At that height it holds its own on a sideboard, a bookcase shelf or a low cabinet, and it sits happily among other painted ceramics, stacked books and vases of cut flowers.
