Description
The Collier is a 543mm-diameter pendant light with four E14 bulb fittings radiating from a central vertical rod, suspended on a chain from a circular ceiling canopy. The frame is finished in black oxide, a dark graphite-toned metal with subtle warmth that pairs with both warm timber and cooler industrial finishes. Each arm extends from a cast joint with circular detailing, giving the pendant a mid-century mechanical character.
Designed for dining tables, kitchen islands and entrance halls with ceiling heights of 2.7m or higher, the Collier provides spread light across a 2-3m span when fitted with four candle bulbs (sold separately). The 3048mm chain allows drop adjustment between 772mm and 3770mm on installation, making it adaptable to standard residential ceilings or double-height voids. The open frame keeps visual weight low while maintaining presence over a table or in a hallway.
The black oxide finish differs from matt black by retaining a faint metallic sheen and warmer undertone, reading closer to charcoal or graphite under daylight. This makes the Collier more forgiving in spaces with walnut or oak furniture, brass hardware, or warm neutral walls than a flat black pendant. The four-arm geometry sits comfortably in transitional and mid-century schemes without dominating minimal or contemporary interiors. At 621mm height, the fitting itself adds vertical presence without blocking sightlines across a room.

Frequently Asked
What bulbs does the Collier take?
The pendant takes four E14 candle bulbs up to 40W each, sold separately. Most users pair this with warm-white LED candle bulbs between 4-6W and 2700K-3000K for dining or entrance hall use.
What ceiling height is needed?
The minimum drop of 772mm plus the 621mm fitting height totals approximately 1400mm from ceiling to base. For a dining table the pendant typically sits 700-800mm above the surface, which works in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.7m or above. The chain can be shortened on installation for lower ceilings or extended to the maximum 3770mm for double-height spaces.
How does black oxide differ from matt black?
Black oxide retains a faint metallic sheen and warmer graphite undertone, whereas matt black is a flat, neutral finish with no reflective quality. Black oxide reads closer to charcoal and pairs more naturally with warm timber, brass and warm-toned interiors.
What table size does it suit?
The 543mm diameter works over dining tables between 1.6-2.4m in length. For wider tables or kitchen islands over 2.4m, consider pairing two Collier pendants or selecting a larger pendant diameter.
