Description

Clio is a slim glass pendant light: a narrow cylinder of ribbed white glass, finished in white, hanging from a fine cable. It is 31cm tall and 8.5cm across, with a canopy 6cm across, and it hangs at a drop of up to 200cm, so you can set it low over a table or higher in a room. The light source is an integrated LED, so there is no bulb to buy or change. It gives 1050 lumens at 2700K, a warm white close to the glow of a traditional bulb, and a CRI of 80, which suits everyday living spaces.

We like it most in a dining room or a living room. Over a dining table it brings warm light down to where you sit and talk; hung singly beside a sofa or a reading chair, it gives a warm, steady glow without taking up space. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only. Clio comes in two versions: with canopy, ready to hang on its own, or without canopy, for multi-pendant canopies (sold separately). The second lets you hang several Clio pendants from one ceiling point, a neat way to light a long table with a cluster of slim glass shades.

The shade is white glass, ribbed in fine horizontal bands from top to bottom, and the white finish keeps the whole fitting clean and simple to live with. With the LED built in, there is nothing inside to replace. Clio runs on 230V and is a mains fitting, wired in by an electrician, so have a qualified electrician install it for you. Before you order, measure from ceiling to table: with a drop of up to 200cm, it can sit at the height you want over your table or seating.
