Description
The Clifton II is a 40cm circular side table with a light travertine top sitting on an antique brass cone-shaped base. The travertine shows natural pitting, mineral streaks and tonal variation in soft beige and cream, typical of the stone's sedimentary formation. The aluminium base is finished in antique brass, giving it a worn metallic patina that contrasts with the pale stone surface.
Designed as an accent table for sofa ends, armchair sides, bedrooms and hallways, the Clifton II has a 54cm height that suits standard sofa arm height and bedside use. The 40cm diameter top provides space for a table lamp, a small stack of books, or a drinks glass without dominating tight floor areas. The cone base tapers from approximately 25cm at the top to a wider footprint at the floor, giving the table stability despite its narrow profile.
The travertine top is cut from natural stone, so each table shows different mineral patterns, small holes and colour shifts across the surface. These are characteristics of travertine, not defects. The antique brass finish on the base has a mottled, aged appearance with darker tones around the edges and lighter patches where the metal catches light. The 8.9kg combined weight gives the table enough mass to resist tipping when loaded but remains light enough to be repositioned by hand.

Frequently Asked
Does the travertine vary between pieces?
Yes. Each top is cut from natural travertine, so the mineral patterns, tonal variation, pitting and surface texture differ between individual tables. This is a feature of the natural material.
How is the travertine cleaned?
Travertine is porous and softer than granite. Wipe spills immediately with a dry cloth. For routine cleaning, use a barely-damp microfibre cloth with distilled water. Avoid acidic cleaners, vinegar, lemon juice or abrasive sponges as they can etch the stone surface.
Is the table stable enough for a lamp?
The 8.9kg weight and cone base provide stability for table lamps, small decorative objects and drinks. The base footprint is wider than the top, lowering the centre of gravity. Avoid placing heavy or tall objects on one edge of the top.
What style of interiors does the Clifton II suit?
The combination of natural stone and antique brass pairs well with contemporary, mid-century, transitional and warm-toned classical interiors. The neutral beige travertine and aged brass finish work alongside both muted and saturated colour palettes.
