The Cleopatra is a 122cm x 90cm rectangular wall mirror with a bevelled central mirror panel surrounded by a carved frame made from smaller mirrored plates set into black-lacquered MDF. The frame itself is mirrored, creating layered reflections across the carved acanthus leaves, scrollwork and floral motifs that border the central glass.

Designed for hallways, living rooms and dressing rooms where a large vertical mirror is needed, the Cleopatra provides a full-length reflection for outfit checks while the frame adds decorative presence to the wall. The 18kg weight requires secure wall fixings into solid masonry or timber studs — two heavy-duty D-rings or keyhole fixings on the reverse distribute the load. The 2cm depth includes both the MDF backing and the thickness of the mirrored frame elements.

The carved mirrored plates catch and scatter light across the room, creating additional brightness in darker hallways or rooms with limited natural light. The black lacquer behind the mirror sections gives depth to the carving and prevents the backing from showing through gaps between individual mirrored pieces. What wall fixings are needed?

The mirror weighs 18kg, so it requires heavy-duty wall fixings into solid masonry, brick or timber studs. Two screws into solid wall plugs or wall anchors rated for at least 10kg each are recommended. Plasterboard-only fixing is not safe for this weight.

Can it be hung horizontally?

The design is vertical, with carved details arranged for portrait orientation. The fixing points on the reverse are positioned for vertical hanging. Horizontal mounting is technically possible if you relocate the fixings, but the frame proportions suit vertical placement better.

How is the mirrored frame cleaned?

Wipe the mirrored sections with a soft microfibre cloth and a standard glass cleaner. The carved surface has recesses that can collect dust — a soft brush or compressed air helps clear these before wiping. Avoid soaking the joints between individual mirror pieces, as prolonged moisture can loosen the adhesive backing over time.

What room sizes does it suit?

The 122cm height and 90cm width suit rooms with wall heights of 2.4m or more. In smaller hallways under 1.5m wide the mirror can dominate the space visually, so it works best in wider hallways, living rooms or bedrooms with enough wall area to frame the mirror without overwhelming adjacent furniture.
