Description

The Knightsbridge Classic Track Spotlight is a GU10-compatible directional spotlight with a cylindrical die-cast aluminium body finished in brushed chrome. The spotlight mounts onto standard track lighting systems via a plastic track connector and rotates 350° on its mounting axis while the lamp head tilts through 180°, allowing light to be directed across walls, onto artwork, or down onto work surfaces.

Designed for retail, gallery and residential track lighting installations where individual beam control is needed, the spotlight accepts any standard GU10 bulb up to 50W (sold separately). This includes halogen GU10s for high-output accent lighting and LED GU10s for energy-efficient alternatives. Dimming capability depends on the bulb chosen — LED GU10s marked as dimmable will work with compatible dimmers, while non-dimmable LEDs will not.

The brushed chrome finish provides a cool metallic accent that works across contemporary, industrial and modern retail interiors. The 60mm diameter lamp head and 127mm projection from the track give the spotlight a compact presence that suits 3m track runs in domestic kitchens and living rooms as well as longer commercial installations. The IP20 rating restricts use to dry indoor environments — this spotlight is not suitable for bathrooms, outdoor canopies or damp locations.

What bulb does it take?

The spotlight accepts any standard GU10 bulb up to 50W maximum. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a GU10 LED between 5-7W and 3000K for accent lighting, or 4000K for task lighting in kitchens and offices.

Is it dimmable?

Dimming depends on the bulb chosen. If you fit a dimmable GU10 LED and pair it with a compatible LED dimmer, the spotlight will dim. Non-dimmable GU10 LEDs will not dim regardless of the dimmer used.

What track systems is it compatible with?

The spotlight uses a standard plastic track connector compatible with most single-circuit track lighting systems sold in the UK. Check your existing track profile matches before ordering if you are adding to an existing installation.

Can it be used in bathrooms or outdoors?

No. The IP20 rating means this spotlight is only suitable for dry indoor environments. For bathrooms you need an IP44 or higher-rated fitting, and for outdoor use IP65 is the minimum.
