Description

The Kichler City Lights is a 7-light linear chandelier built around a geometric arrangement of horizontal and vertical bars in a classic pewter finish, with seven frosted glass cube shades positioned at different heights across an 876mm-wide frame. Each cube houses a 3W LED G9 bulb at 3000K, providing warm white light diffused through the frosted glass.

Designed for dining tables, kitchen islands and open-plan living areas with ceiling heights of 2.4m or above, the chandelier creates multiple light sources distributed across a wide horizontal plane rather than from a single central point. The drop is adjustable between 635mm and 1422mm on installation, allowing the fitting to be positioned at the appropriate height for the room. The 470mm vertical span of the frame means the different cube heights become part of the architectural composition when viewed from the side.

The pewter-finished metal framework uses squared-section bars arranged in an asymmetric grid pattern, with the seven cubes attached at junction points where vertical and horizontal bars meet. Each frosted glass cube measures approximately 100mm per side and sits on a small pewter bracket extending from the frame. The combined weight of metal frame, glass cubes and internal wiring gives the chandelier substantial presence without requiring additional ceiling reinforcement beyond a standard joist-fixed ceiling rose.

The 3000K colour temperature of the included LED bulbs produces warm white light comparable to traditional halogen, suitable for dining and living spaces where a cooler LED tone would feel clinical. The frosted glass diffuses the point source of each LED into a soft glow from each cube, eliminating harsh shadows below the fitting.

Are the LED bulbs replaceable?

Yes. The fitting uses standard G9 LED bulbs rated at 3W each. The bulbs included are replaceable if they fail, though LED bulbs typically last 15,000-25,000 hours.

What dining table size does it suit?

The 876mm width suits dining tables between 1600mm and 2200mm long. For smaller tables the chandelier may overhang; for tables longer than 2200mm a second fixture or a longer linear chandelier would provide better light distribution.

Can the drop height be adjusted after installation?

No. The drop is set during installation by cutting the suspension cable to length and fixing the canopy to the ceiling rose. Once fitted, the height cannot be adjusted without re-wiring.

Is the chandelier dimmable?

The included LED G9 bulbs are compatible with most trailing-edge LED dimmers. Check your dimmer switch specification before installation, as older resistive dimmers designed for halogen or incandescent bulbs may cause flickering or limit the dimming range.
