Description

This is a tealight holder made in the shape of a small table lamp, all in pink glass. A slender stem with a ringed band at its middle rises from a fluted round foot to a fluted shade with a gently scalloped rim. The tealight sits in a cup tucked inside the shade, so once it is lit the flame glows through the ribbed glass the way a bulb glows through a lampshade. It stands 18cm tall and 10.5cm across, and it weighs 0.15KG, so it is easy to lift and move wherever you want a little candlelight.

Because it looks like a little lamp rather than a candle jar, it suits spots where a real lamp would feel too much: a bedside table, a bookshelf, a hallway console or the end of a desk. Lit, the glass gives off a soft pink glow that makes a bedroom or a reading nook feel cosy on a winter evening. Unlit, it still reads as a tiny lamp, so it earns its place on a shelf in daylight too. It also makes a sweet housewarming or birthday gift for anyone who loves pretty glassware.

The holder is 100% glass, and its finish is spray coloured, so the pink colour is sprayed onto the glass. Fine ribs run down the shade and fan out across the foot, and the wavy edges on both catch the light whether the candle is burning or not. Glass lets light pass freely, so the ribbed shade softens and spreads the candlelight rather than hiding it. We like it beside a short stack of books and a small posy of fresh flowers, or as a pair at each end of a mantelpiece. The styling props shown are not included.

Frequently Asked

What size is the tealight holder?

It stands 18cm tall and 10.5cm across, a compact size for a bedside table, a bookshelf or a narrow windowsill.

What material is the holder?

It is 100% glass with a spray coloured finish, which means the pink colour is sprayed onto the glass.

What kind of candle does it take?

It holds a tealight, which sits in a small cup inside the fluted glass shade so the flame glows through the ribs like a bulb behind a lampshade.

Is a tealight included?

No. The tealight is a styling prop, like the books and flowers, and the styling props shown are not included.

How heavy is it?

It weighs 0.15KG, so it is light enough to carry in one hand from a bedside table to a shelf or a hallway console.

Does it look like a lamp when it is not lit?

Yes. With its fluted shade, slender ringed stem and round ribbed foot, it reads as a tiny table lamp even in daylight.
