The Celestial is a 610mm drum pendant from Kichler that combines a crinkle-textured fabric shade with bronze metalwork and five optical crystal spheres arranged on a central stem. Three E27 bulb sockets sit inside the drum, diffused by satin-etched glass below the fabric shade, while the crystal spheres run vertically through the fitting's core. The bronze finish on the chain, canopy and decorative stem gives the pendant a warm metallic tone that pairs with warm-toned and transitional interiors.

Designed for dining rooms, kitchen islands and entrance halls with ceiling heights of 2.7m or higher, the Celestial suits spaces where both ambient and decorative lighting are needed. The crinkle fabric shade diffuses light evenly across a 3-4m dining table or a similar-sized island, while the crystal spheres catch and reflect light when the pendant is viewed from below or from the side. The drop is adjustable on installation from 940mm to 2769mm, allowing the fitting to be set 700-900mm above a table surface depending on ceiling height.

The crinkle fabric is stretched over a metal drum frame, creating a textured surface that breaks up the uniformity of a plain shade. The satin-etched glass diffusers beneath each E27 socket soften the direct light from the bulbs, preventing glare when seated at a table below the pendant. The optical crystal spheres are clear glass with internal faceting, so they introduce light play without the weight or cost of cut crystal. What bulbs does the Celestial take?

The pendant has three E27 sockets, each rated to 60W maximum. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with warm-white LED bulbs between 8-12W and 2700K-3000K for dining and ambient lighting.

Is the drop adjustable after installation?

The drop is adjustable on installation only, between 940mm and 2769mm. Once the chain is cut and the pendant is wired, the drop is fixed unless the fitting is taken down and the chain re-adjusted.

Can the fabric shade be cleaned?

The crinkle fabric shade can be dusted with a soft brush or dry microfibre cloth. For stubborn marks, a barely-damp cloth can be used, but avoid soaking the fabric or using household sprays that may stain or discolour the material.

What ceiling height is needed?

For a dining table or kitchen island, the pendant typically sits 700-900mm above the surface, which works in rooms with ceiling heights of 2.7m or above. Lower ceilings can still accommodate the Celestial if the chain is set to the minimum 940mm drop during installation.
