Description

Black braid with a white wave running through it, two cores twisted around one another so the pattern spirals as the flex drops. The weave is fine and tight, and the finished cord is slim enough to look deliberate on a bare pendant rather than something to be hidden away. It is VDE approved at 0.75mm per core, and whatever quantity you order arrives as one continuous run rather than as separate metre pieces.

We reach for this where the flex is meant to be seen: a single lampholder over a kitchen island, a row of pendants along a dining table, or the rewiring of an old table lamp whose original cord has gone tired and grey. From across a room the wave reads as a soft stripe; up close it shows as proper woven texture, which sits well with pared-back and workshop-style schemes and looks particularly good against dark painted walls. It is a cable for indoor lighting work, and most people buy it alongside a holder and a rose.

The braid is woven over insulated cores and twisted, which gives the cord a little spring and keeps it from hanging dead straight. Colour is carried in the weave itself, so it will not rub off at the points where the flex is handled most. For upkeep, isolate the supply first, then draw a dry cloth along the length to lift dust out of the braid; leave water and solvents alone, as both can mark the fibres and flatten the nap. It carries a one year warranty.
