Description

The Castle C90 is a large round ceiling light, 90cm across and 13cm tall overall, with a body 10cm tall, so it sits close to the ceiling while covering a wide area. A white diffuser fills the underside, and a shallow band runs around the edge with small slots cut along its top rim. The light comes from an integrated LED, so there is no bulb to buy or change: 41W giving 7960lm at 3000K, a warm white, with a CRI of 90, so colours, skin tones and fabrics look true. We sell it in three finishes: White, Black or Oak.

With that much light from a single fitting, the Castle C90 suits a generous room: a living room, a dining room above a long table, an open-plan space, a large bedroom or a wide hallway, and it works just as well in an office, a meeting room or a hotel reception. It dims by DALI or push, so it can join a DALI lighting control system or be dimmed from a push switch, bright for a busy afternoon and low for a quiet evening. White sits quietly against a white ceiling, Black draws a crisp dark ring overhead, and Oak suits rooms with timber floors and furniture. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry indoor rooms only.

The Castle C90 was designed by Stone Designs, who gave a simple drum shape a slotted edge that keeps it from looking plain. It runs on 230V mains and is wired in by a qualified electrician; it is a Class I fitting, which means it is earthed. Before ordering, measure your ceiling to be sure a fitting 90cm across sits comfortably in the room, and pick White, Black or Oak to suit it. Our photographs show the oak version.
