Description

The Carac is a wall light with a single glass enclosure inside a cage. It hangs from an arm that runs out from its wall plate and turns down at a right angle. It is made of brass and glass, and it comes in five finishes, Antique Silver, Antique Brass, Natural Brass, Polished Brass and Satin Brass, each with a choice of Clear, Crackled or Frosted glass. Clear glass leaves the bulb in plain view, Crackled glass carries a fine web of cracks through it, and Frosted glass gives a softer, more even glow. The light stands 37cm tall and 10cm wide, and it projects 20cm from the wall.

It takes one E27 bulb of up to 40W, and bulbs are sold separately. With its IP65 rating, the Carac suits a bathroom, where a pair either side of a mirror works well, as readily as the drier rooms of the house. In a bedroom, one on each side of the bed frees up the bedside tables. In a dining room, a row along one wall gives a gentle wash of light. In a living room, a pair either side of a fireplace frames the chimney breast. It suits anyone who likes a fitting with its structure on show, in a period home or a plain modern room.

Every Carac is made to order for you in Ireland, in brass with a glass enclosure held inside its cage. Choose the finish and the glass together when you order. The Antique Silver and Antique Brass finishes have a worn, aged look. The maker guarantees the fittings it makes for five years from the date of purchase, and bulbs are not covered.
