Description

The Carabel is a 229mm diameter mini pendant combining pierced scroll metalwork in a brushed champagne finish with an ivory linen inner shade and an etched glass diffuser. A single E27 bulb sits inside the drum, with the pierced outer shell casting shadow patterns onto surrounding walls while the linen shade and diffuser soften the direct light from the bulb itself.

Designed for installation above kitchen islands, breakfast bars, in hallways and over dining tables, the Carabel suits rooms with ceiling heights from 2.4m upwards. The 3048mm chain allows the drop to be adjusted between 420mm minimum and 3430mm maximum on installation, so the pendant can be set at the appropriate height for the application. The compact 229mm diameter means the pendant works individually over a side table or in multiples along a kitchen island without crowding the space.

The brushed champagne finish sits between antique gold and warm brass, offering a mid-tone metallic that pairs with both warm-toned woods and cooler grey palettes. The scroll pattern is laser-cut through the outer drum, leaving open apertures that reveal the ivory linen shade behind. What bulb does it take?

The Carabel takes a standard E27 (Edison screw) bulb up to 60W maximum. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users pair this with a warm-white LED between 6-10W and 2700K-3000K for dining and kitchen island applications.

Can the drop be adjusted after installation?

The drop is adjusted on installation by shortening the chain before the pendant is hung. Once installed, the drop is fixed unless the pendant is taken down and the chain re-adjusted.

Does the pierced metalwork create light patterns on walls?

Yes. The laser-cut scroll apertures in the outer drum cast shadow patterns onto surrounding walls and ceilings when the bulb is lit. The intensity of these patterns depends on the wattage of the bulb and the distance from the pendant to the wall.

What ceiling height is needed?

The 420mm minimum drop plus the 305mm fitting height means the pendant requires at least 2.4m ceiling height when hung at its shortest. For kitchen islands and dining tables the pendant typically hangs 700-800mm above the surface, which works in rooms with 2.5m or higher ceilings.
