Description

Mini Exit Ceiling Canopy is a ceiling canopy in black. A shallow black cylinder with a flat top, carrying a short raised boss at its centre where the flex passes through and a large round cover plate standing proud on its side. The boss is a plain tube with an open mouth; the side plate is a smooth disc with no fixings visible on it. The finish is a flat matt black with a faint grain to the casting, and the edge of the cylinder is softly rounded rather than square. Nothing is polished. It is a mounting part sized to sit tight against the ceiling and hide the outlet. The plastic cover lifts off where the canopy is being converted to carry more than one flex. It measures 5cm across.

The flexes meet inside it rather than crossing the ceiling to reach it, which is the whole point of using one. It is a part rather than a finished fitting, so it is bought alongside whatever it is going to carry or connect to rather than on its own. That is the point of buying the pieces separately: the shade, the flex and the holder are each chosen on their own, and a run can be made up to a length and a drop that no finished pendant would give you.

It is class II, double insulated, so it needs no earth, and it is rated IP20 for dry indoor rooms.
