Description

The Calla is a 5 light bar pendant built around a 720mm pressed steel bar finished in matt black, with five independently adjustable fabric-covered flex drops each terminating in an E27 bulb holder. Each drop can be set at a different height during installation, creating a staggered profile that adds vertical interest over long dining tables or kitchen islands.

Designed for spaces needing distributed task and ambient light across a 1.5-2m table or worktop, the pendant suits kitchens with central islands, dining rooms with rectangular tables, and open-plan areas where a single central pendant would be insufficient. The 1.8m cable length and adjustable drops allow the fitting to be tailored to ceiling heights between 2.4m and 3m. The matt black bar fixes to a standard ceiling rose and the cable run is concealed within the fabric flex.

The pressed steel construction and matt black powder-coated finish give the pendant a weight of approximately 1.2kg without bulbs, providing stability on the ceiling fixing without requiring additional support. The finish absorbs light rather than reflecting it, creating a dark silhouette that frames the bulbs when lit. Paired with warm-white filament-style E27 LED bulbs (sold separately), the matt black metalwork contrasts with the visible tungsten filament, adding visual warmth to otherwise minimal interiors. The IP20 rating limits the fitting to dry indoor environments.

The five E27 sockets accept any standard Edison screw bulb up to 40W each, giving a combined maximum load of 200W. Most installations use 4-6W LED filament bulbs for sufficient light output across a dining table without excessive glare. The pendant is dimmable when paired with dimmable bulbs and a compatible trailing-edge dimmer.

What bulbs does the Calla take?

The pendant has five E27 (Edison screw) sockets, each rated for bulbs up to 40W. Bulbs are sold separately. Most users fit 4-6W LED filament bulbs in warm white (2700K-3000K) for dining and kitchen island applications.

Can the drops be adjusted to different heights?

Yes. Each of the five fabric flex drops is independently adjustable during installation, allowing you to create a staggered or uniform profile depending on the space. Once set, the drops remain fixed unless adjusted again.

Is the Calla dimmable?

Dimming depends on the bulbs fitted. When paired with dimmable E27 LED bulbs and a compatible trailing-edge dimmer, the pendant can be dimmed smoothly. Non-dimmable bulbs will not dim and may flicker or fail if connected to a dimmer circuit.

What table length does it suit?

The 720mm bar length works best over tables or kitchen islands between 1.5m and 2m long. For longer tables, consider spacing two Calla pendants or choosing a longer bar pendant from the same range if available.
