Description

The Calla is a 720mm bar pendant from Knightsbridge with five E27 lamp holders suspended on individual grey fabric cables from a brushed chrome canopy bar. Each cable drop is independently adjustable up to 1800mm, allowing the lamp heads to be set at staggered heights or aligned in a level row depending on the installation requirement.

Designed for kitchen islands, long dining tables and hallways where linear light distribution is needed, the Calla spreads five light sources across a 720mm span. The grey fabric cables contrast with the brushed chrome bar and lamp holder shells, giving a softer edge than all-metal construction. The pendant fits standard UK ceiling roses and the 1.8m cable run from canopy to ceiling allows installation in rooms with ceiling heights between 2.4m and 3.2m.

The brushed chrome finish on the bar and lamp holders provides a satin metallic surface that sits between polished chrome and matt nickel, pairing with stainless steel appliances, chrome taps and contemporary fittings. The pressed steel construction keeps the weight manageable at approximately 1.2kg despite the 720mm span. Each lamp holder accepts a standard E27 bulb up to 40W, giving flexibility to choose filament, halogen or LED depending on the light temperature and output needed.

Dimmability depends on the bulbs fitted — LED filament-style bulbs with visible coils pair well with the exposed lamp holder design and most are dimmable when used with a compatible LED dimmer. The IP20 rating limits the Calla to dry indoor spaces; it is not suitable for bathrooms, outdoor installations or damp zones.
