Description

We stock the Calipso in black and brass as a compact, adjustable spotlight for single-circuit track. It takes one GU10 bulb up to 10W (sold separately) in a ribbed brass cylinder on a black track mount, and the head tilts on its adaptor joint so you can aim the light once it is fitted.

We find it works well in retail, gallery, hospitality and home settings where you want to pick out walls, display areas or artwork. It clips onto standard single-circuit track and slides along the rail without any rewiring, so you can reposition each head as a display changes. The brass cylinder sits against the black hardware and suits both white and black track, depending on the accent you are after.

The housing is aluminium, which keeps the weight sensible for track fitting, and the ribbing on the brass cylinder softens reflections off the metal. The GU10 fitting takes any standard mains-voltage LED spotlight bulb, so you can choose the beam angle and colour temperature to suit the room. It is rated IP20 for dry indoor use and is not dimmable at the fitting.

Frequently Asked

What bulb does it take?

It takes a single GU10 bulb up to 10W, sold separately. You can fit any standard mains-voltage GU10 LED spotlight and pick the beam angle and colour temperature you prefer.

Is it dimmable?

No, the fitting itself is not dimmable. Any dimming would depend on the GU10 LED bulb you fit and a compatible dimmer, both sold separately.

What track does it fit?

It clips onto standard single-circuit track via the black adaptor on the mount, and you can slide it along the rail and tilt the head without rewiring.

Can I use it in a bathroom?

No. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only. It is not protected against moisture and is not suitable for outdoor use.
