Description

We stock the Calipso ring ceiling light in matt black as a single-lamp spotlight with a fluted aluminium body. The cylindrical housing takes one GU10 bulb up to 10W (sold separately), and the vertical ribbing gives it an architectural look while helping the body shed heat from the lamp.

It suits retail, gallery, kitchen and office settings where you want directed accent or task light. The head rotates and tilts on its recessed ceiling mount, so you can aim the beam onto walls, artwork or a work zone and reposition it later without any re-wiring. The IP20 rating keeps it to dry indoor spaces.

The bulb is not included, which lets you choose your own GU10 LED or halogen up to 10W and set the colour temperature you prefer. It is not dimmable, and it runs on a standard 220-240V 50Hz mains supply. The matt black finish stays low in reflectance, receding against dark ceilings and reading cleanly against lighter surfaces.

It takes a single GU10 bulb up to 10W, which is sold separately. You can fit a GU10 LED or halogen to suit your preferred brightness and colour temperature.

Is it dimmable?

No. This fitting is not dimmable, so we would pair it with a non-dimmed circuit and a standard GU10 bulb rather than a dimmer switch.

Can I use it in a bathroom?

No. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only. It is not protected against moisture and is not suitable for damp spaces.

Can I aim the light after fitting?

Yes. The head rotates and tilts on its ceiling mount, so once it is installed you can point the beam at a wall, a piece of artwork or a task area without re-wiring it.
