Calipso Ring LED Ceiling Light 137mm - White

We stock the Calipso in white as a compact 137mm ring ceiling light with an adjustable head, so you can aim the light where you want it. It takes one GU10 bulb up to 10W (sold separately) inside a ridged white powder-coated aluminium body, and the head pivots once the fitting is in place.

It suits kitchen worktops, gallery and picture walls, retail displays and corridor accent lighting, anywhere you want to pick out a surface or object rather than wash a whole room. The white finish reads cleanly against white ceilings and plain contemporary interiors, and the adjustable head lets you fine-tune the beam after fitting.

The body is white powder-coated aluminium, and its vertical ribbing helps shed heat from the lamp during longer spells of use. It carries an IP20 rating for dry indoor rooms and runs on 220-240V mains at 50Hz. On its own it is non-dimmable, but fit a dimmable GU10 LED bulb on a compatible dimmer circuit and you can dim it.

What bulb does it take?

It takes a single GU10 bulb up to 10W, sold separately, so you can pick the brightness and colour temperature that suit the spot you are lighting.

Is it dimmable?

Not on its own. Fit a dimmable GU10 LED bulb and wire it to a compatible dimmer circuit and you can dim it from full brightness down to a softer glow.

Can I use it in a bathroom?

We would keep it to dry rooms. It carries an IP20 rating, so it is not protected against moisture and is best suited to kitchens, hallways and living spaces.

Can I aim the light after fitting?

Yes. The head pivots once the fitting is installed, so you can direct the beam onto a worktop, a picture or a display and adjust it later if you need to.
