Description
We stock the Calipso cluster ceiling light in brass as a compact, adjustable spotlight for directing light exactly where you want it. It takes one GU10 bulb up to 10W (sold separately) in a vertically ribbed aluminium body finished in warm brass, mounted on a cylindrical ceiling plate. The head tilts and rotates on its joint, so once it is fitted you can aim the beam across a room or onto a particular wall or object.
We think of this as accent or task lighting rather than a main ambient light, which makes it a good fit for hallways, kitchens, home offices and gallery walls where you want light on a specific surface. It works well on its own or grouped in a line or cluster, and the ribbed body catches light at different angles to add a bit of architectural detail. Rated IP20, it is made for dry interior rooms, so keep it away from splash zones in a bathroom.
The brass finish is a warm metallic tone with a semi-matt surface that softens reflections in daylight, and the aluminium body keeps it light while the ribbing adds rigidity. The GU10 socket accepts any standard GU10 LED, halogen or CFL bulb, so you can choose the beam angle and colour temperature to suit the room. It runs on a standard 220 to 240V 50Hz mains supply and is not dimmable, so we would pair it with a fixed switch rather than a dimmer circuit.

Frequently Asked
What bulb does it take?
It takes one GU10 bulb up to 10W, which is sold separately. The socket accepts any standard GU10 LED, halogen or CFL, so you can pick the beam angle and colour temperature you prefer.
Is it dimmable?
No. This fitting is not dimmable, so we would wire it to a standard on/off switch. If you want dimming, choose a dimmable GU10 LED and a compatible dimmer, but the fitting itself is designed for a fixed switch.
Can I use it in a bathroom?
No. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only. We would keep it to hallways, kitchens, living spaces and home offices rather than a bathroom.
Can I point the light where I want it?
Yes. The head tilts and rotates on its mounting joint, so once it is installed you can direct the beam onto a wall, worktop or feature. It also works well grouped in a line or cluster for wider coverage.
