Description

The BT9 eyelid is a grey polycarbonate accessory that clips onto Knightsbridge BT9 9W outdoor LED bulkheads to direct light downward and reduce horizontal glare. The eyelid measures 260mm in diameter and projects 69mm from the bulkhead face when fitted, creating a hooded profile that shields the light source from direct view at eye level.

Designed for wall-mounted bulkheads in pathways, entrance porches, stairwells and car parks where downward light is preferred over 360-degree spread, the eyelid reduces light spill into adjacent windows and neighbouring properties while maintaining visibility on the ground below. The push-fit design requires no tools or additional fixings — the eyelid simply clips onto the outer rim of the BT9 bulkhead body and can be removed if the lighting requirement changes.

The grey polycarbonate construction matches the standard BT9 bulkhead body finish and provides UV and impact resistance consistent with outdoor installation. The eyelid is compatible with the full BT9 range including standard, emergency, sensor and combined emergency-sensor models. The 1-year warranty covers manufacturing defects but does not extend to damage from mishandling or over-tightening during installation.
