Description

The Brooklyn Round 360° is a slim ring light in a brushed brass finish, 100cm across, that fits on a ceiling or on a wall. The ring has a section of 3.5cm, with a white inner face that gives out the light, and it sits on three small posts that hold it a little way off its mount. The light source is an integrated LED, so there is never a bulb to buy or change. It draws 55W and gives 2965lm of warm 3000K light, with a CRI of 90, so skin tones, timber and fabrics look true to colour.

At a full metre across, this ring light is sized for larger rooms: a long living room, an open-plan dining space, a generous hallway or landing, or an office where you want even light over a wide area. On a ceiling it gives a broad, calm wash of light from one fitting; on a wall it reads as a bold brushed brass circle that lights the space around it. It dims through DALI or push control, so it can sit on a DALI lighting control system or simply be brought up and down from a push switch. It is rated IP40, so it is for dry indoor rooms only.

The fitting sits low and neat: it projects about 5.8cm from the ceiling or wall, and its canopy is 21.4cm in diameter. It runs on 230V and is wired in to the mains by an electrician, so a qualified electrician should install it. The brushed brass finish has a fine, soft grain, and the 3.5cm section keeps the ring looking slender even at a full metre across. With the LED built in, there are no bulbs to match or fit.
