Description

The Brillix is a compact outdoor LED wall light with a white metal housing and an integrated 9W LED emitting 4000K neutral white light. The fitting measures 100mm wide with a 164mm projection from the wall, designed to direct light downwards onto pathways, entrance steps, or patio edges. The IP54 rating protects against dust ingress and water splashes from any direction, making it suitable for outdoor use in exposed positions.

Designed for residential and light commercial applications, the Brillix works well as a pathway marker, porch light, or as part of a series of fittings along a garden perimeter. The 4000K colour temperature sits between warm and cool white, providing functional visibility without the stark blue tone of daylight-rated LEDs. The integrated LED removes the need for bulb replacement and the fitting can be wired directly to mains 230V supply behind a standard outdoor junction box.

The white powder-coated metal finish resists corrosion in typical UK weather conditions and pairs cleanly with rendered, painted, or UPVC exterior surfaces. The rectangular housing angles the light forward and down, concentrating output where it's needed rather than spilling upwards. At 100mm width the fitting sits comfortably between typical UK brick courses without requiring custom mounting positions. The polycarbonate diffuser across the front softens the LED output to reduce glare when approaching the light head-on.

Can this be used in fully exposed outdoor positions?

Yes. The IP54 rating means the fitting is protected against dust ingress and water splashes from any direction. It can be mounted on walls exposed to rain, though it should not be submerged or positioned where standing water collects around the fitting.

No. The 9W LED is integrated into the fitting and is not user-replaceable. The LED is rated for long operational life (typically 25,000+ hours), and Ideal Lux provides a 5-year warranty covering the entire fitting including the light source.

4000K, which is neutral white. This sits between warm white (2700K-3000K) and cool daylight white (5000K+), providing functional visibility without appearing overly blue or overly yellow.

How is it wired?

The Brillix connects directly to mains 230V supply. Most installations wire to an outdoor junction box behind the fitting or run a cable from an indoor lighting circuit through the wall. A qualified electrician should complete the installation to comply with UK wiring regulations for outdoor circuits.
