Description

The Brillix is an outdoor LED wall light with an integrated 9W LED delivering 3000K warm white light through a polycarbonate diffuser set at an angle on a brown metal backplate. The IP54 rating protects against dust ingress and water splashes, making the fitting suitable for external walls, garden boundaries, patio areas and pathway lighting where exposure to rain and weather is expected.

Designed for residential and commercial exterior installation, the Brillix casts light downward and outward from the angled diffuser, illuminating steps, doorways and wall-mounted signage without direct glare. The 164mm projection from the wall and 100mm width give the fitting enough presence to be visible from a distance while remaining compact enough for narrow walkways and close-to-door mounting. The brown powder-coated metal finish blends with natural brick, timber cladding and stone facing.

The integrated LED is rated at 9W and cannot be replaced, but the LED driver is designed for a 50,000-hour lifespan at typical outdoor usage patterns of 4-6 hours per night. The polycarbonate diffuser resists impact and UV degradation better than acrylic alternatives, maintaining clarity and light output over multiple seasons. The fitting connects to standard 230V mains wiring and does not require a separate transformer or driver box.

What does IP54 mean?

IP54 means the fitting is protected against dust ingress sufficient to prevent interference with operation, and against water splashes from any direction. The Brillix can be mounted on exterior walls exposed to rain but should not be subjected to direct high-pressure water jets or full submersion.

Can the LED be replaced?

No. The LED is integrated into the fitting and cannot be replaced separately. The LED driver is rated for 50,000 hours of operation, which translates to approximately 20-25 years at typical outdoor usage of 4-6 hours per night.

Is the Brillix suitable for coastal locations?

The brown powder-coated metal finish provides basic weather resistance. For coastal installations where salt spray is present, periodic rinsing with fresh water will help prevent corrosion. Stainless steel or marine-grade fittings are recommended for direct seafront exposure.

How is the light directed?

The angled diffuser casts light downward and outward from the wall, illuminating the ground and lower wall area below the fitting. The diffuser angle is fixed and cannot be adjusted on installation.
