Description

The Breeze is a 60cm circular LED pendant light built around two concentric brass rings that support a perforated aluminium diffuser panel. The integrated 45W LED sits behind the diffuser and casts warm 3000K light downwards through the micro-perforations, turning the entire disc into a single plane of illumination. The outer brass ring and inner ring connect via three radial spokes, giving the fitting a geometric profile when viewed from the side.

Designed for dining tables, kitchen islands and open-plan living areas with ceiling heights between 2.4m and 3.2m, the Breeze provides task and ambient light across a 2-3m diameter zone below the fitting. The suspension cables adjust from a minimum drop of 58cm to a maximum of 318cm, allowing the pendant to be set 70-90cm above a dining surface or 2m+ above floor level for general ambient use. The circular canopy fits standard UK ceiling roses and the cables conceal the power run.

The aluminium construction keeps the fitting's weight manageable despite its 60cm diameter, and the brass finish on the rings provides a warm metallic accent that pairs with both warm-toned interiors and cooler greys. The perforated diffuser softens the LED output and prevents glare when the pendant is viewed from below, while allowing enough direct light through for reading and food preparation. The IP20 rating limits the fitting to dry indoor areas.

Is the Breeze dimmable?

The integrated LED operates on mains voltage AC 220-240V. Dimmer compatibility depends on the specific dimmer model. Maytoni typically designs integrated LED fittings to work with trailing-edge dimmers, but confirm compatibility with your dimmer before installation.

What ceiling height is needed?

The suspension cables adjust from 58cm minimum to 318cm maximum drop. For a dining table, the pendant typically sits 70-90cm above the surface, which works in rooms with 2.4m+ ceiling heights. The maximum drop allows installation in double-height spaces or stairwells.

Can it be used in a bathroom?

No. The IP20 rating restricts the Breeze to dry indoor areas only. It is not suitable for bathrooms, wet rooms, covered outdoor spaces or any environment with moisture exposure.

How is the perforated diffuser cleaned?

Switch off at the mains and allow the fitting to cool. Wipe the aluminium diffuser with a dry microfibre cloth. For stubborn marks, a barely-damp cloth is acceptable, but avoid soaking the diffuser or using sprays directly on the LED module.
