Description

The Brayworth chandelier spreads six aged gold branch arms along a linear frame and hangs a glass droplet from each, so the light comes from a row of points rather than one mass. It measures 960mm long by 600mm deep, with a drop adjusting from 510mm to 1920mm, and at 9kg it needs a properly sound ceiling fixing. Six E14 small screw fit lamps at 6W each light the droplets, and the fitting is dimmable with dimmable lamps and a compatible dimmer switch, which suits a chandelier used mostly in the evening.

A linear chandelier belongs over a long dining table, a kitchen island or a hall table where its length can be read properly, and the depth of 600mm means it wants a table of reasonable width beneath it. The branch arms and glass droplets give a decorative, slightly organic look that softens a very square room, and as a ceiling light its six low wattage lamps put out enough for dining without harsh glare. Aged gold keeps the tone warm rather than bright, so it works with deep colours, natural wood and off white walls alike.
