Description

The Bowee S1 is a dome pendant light: a single dome-shaped shade, 14cm across, held at the end of a slim rigid stem that bends to one side before curving down to cradle the shade. The fitting is 15cm across at its widest, and the stem and shade together measure 40cm. Light comes from an integrated LED, so there is no bulb to buy or change. It draws 8W and gives 560lm at a warm 2700K, with a CRI of 90 that keeps food, fabrics and skin tones looking true to life. We offer it in Beige, Clear Turquoise or Black.

It is made for the dining room and the living room. With a maximum drop of 250cm, it can hang at a height that suits your table: one on its own over a small round table, or several in a line along a longer one. In a living room it sits well over a side table or beside a favourite reading chair, where the bent stem holds the dome slightly to one side. The finish is your choice: Beige for a soft, quiet look against warm neutral walls, Black for a crisp outline against pale paintwork, or Clear Turquoise for a touch of colour.

The design is by Werner Aisslinger, and it is dimmable with a compatible phase-cut dimmer, so you can lower the light for a long dinner or a quiet evening. It runs on 230V mains and is wired in to the mains by a qualified electrician. The round ceiling canopy is 8cm across and 4cm tall, small enough to sit neatly on the ceiling. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms only. Choose your finish, have it wired in, and it gives warm 2700K light from the day it goes up. Our photographs show the beige version.
