Description

The Borba is a King size duvet cover woven from hemp and organic cotton, 225 x 220cm. The fabric is a fine pinstripe, narrow espresso lines set close together on a natural undyed ground, so from across a room the cover reads as a soft neutral and the stripe only resolves close up. The weave is slubby, carrying the flecks and thicker threads hemp leaves behind it. It arrives folded inside a matching striped bag that buttons shut.

At 225 x 220cm this is the King size. The same cover is made in a Double at 200 x 200cm and a Super King at 260 x 220cm, all in the same espresso stripe. On a made bed the stripe reads as a plain soft neutral from a few feet away, so it will sit beside white or undyed bedding rather than needing a matching set around it. Housewife pillowcases are made in the same fabric and sold in pairs.

The blend is hemp with organic cotton. Hemp grows without needing chemicals and is biodegradable, and the organic cotton is grown without synthetic pesticides or GMOs. Both soften over time, so the cover gets more relaxed the longer it is in use. The striped bag it arrives in is meant to be kept, for storing the cover out of season or as a garment bag. A duvet is not included.
