Description

The Bol S/6L is a six-light LED chandelier built around two slim upright stems, with arms that cross and step outwards so that its six dome shades hang at different heights rather than in a ring. Each shade is 17cm across. The light source is an integrated LED, so there are no bulbs to buy or change: it draws 72W and gives 2094 lumens of warm 2700K light, with a CRI of 90 that keeps food, faces and timber looking true to colour. It is made from aluminium, brass and polycarbonate, and we offer it in seven finishes: White, Ebony Black, Textured Pebble Grey, Textured Olive Grey, Textured Terracotta, Textured Grey Blue and Textured Sand Yellow.

Its body is 76cm tall and the drop runs from 100cm to 230cm, so it can hang low over a dining table, where the staggered heads spread light across the whole table top, or sit higher in a living room to light the space from above. That range of drop also suits a room with a high ceiling. It dims on a TRIAC circuit with a compatible dimmer, which lets you turn it down once the plates are cleared. It is rated IP20, so it is for dry rooms indoors only.

Bol was designed by Estudi Manel Molina, and the Bol S/6L puts the idea plainly: an open frame of stems and arms, each arm carrying a shade, arranged so the chandelier looks airy rather than heavy. It is a Class I fitting for the 230V mains, wired in by a qualified electrician, and it hangs from a rectangular ceiling plate. Before you order, measure from the ceiling to your table top so you can choose a drop between 100cm and 230cm that leaves comfortable headroom and a clear view across the table.
